Request for recognition of fulfilment of the subject matter

Art. 48

(1) At the request of a student, the dean may recognise the completion of a course by completing the course at another higher education institution, in another study at JAMU, or under the conditions set out by law within the framework of a lifelong learning programme.(2) The dean shall request a statement from the supervisor of the course whose completion is to be recognised. This does not apply if the course has been completed at the faculty whose dean decides on recognition.

Art. 49

Application for recognition of completion of the course(1) The student shall attach to the application for recognition of completion of the course documents demonstrating the completion of the course, its assessment, scope and content. (2) The application shall be submitted by the student no later than 1 month from the date of registration of the course, the date on which the student completes the course for which recognition is requested in another study, or the date of return from mobility; otherwise the Dean shall reject the application.

Art. 50

Obstacle to the recognition of the fulfilment of the subject matterThe fulfilment of a subject matter which has been completed more than 5 years ago cannot be recognised.

The application can be submitted in the IS->Student->While studying->Office->Submitting a new application (HF)/Submitting anew application (DF)

  • In the application form, select your study in the selection box.
  • Enter the CORRECT SUBJECT CODE TO BE RECOGNIZED without the HF/DIFA prefix
  • In the selection box, select the semester of the course you want to accept
  • The justification for the request is pre-filled with the text: ‘I request recognition of the above subject matter. I enclose the following annexes as a basis for the decision on the recognition of the subject” This text MUST be supplemented by a list of annexes that demonstrate eligibility for recognition of the subject.
  • You do not need to attach a course syllabus or grade transcript to have your faculty’s course recognized.
  • Conversely, if the course is not from JAMU, a syllabus is required
  • Find a teacher who is authorised to comment on the recognition of the course completion – i.e. the course supervisor
  • Attach individual attachments

  • Choose the right semester
  • A course is a semester entity, if you want to accept completion of multiple courses or courses in multiple semesters, submit multiple applications.
