Enrolment in the next academic year

Enrolment in study years and its conditions are regulated by Articles 15,17,19 and especially 20 21 of the JAMU Study and Examination Regulations.

You can apply for enrolment in the next year in IS->Student->Start of semester->Application for enrolment in semester

Applying for enrolment in a year

  • You always apply for enrolment in the WINTER semester of a given academic year.
  • Newly enrolled students do not request enrollment through this application.
  • In the upper right corner select your current study and in case of the academic year 20../.. period winter 20…
  • If you have more than one active study, you must apply for all of them.
  • Applications can be submitted from the beginning of the examination period of the summer semester of the previous academic year until the beginning of the academic year for which you wish to apply.

The app checks:

  • Courses taken in the last two semesters must either have been successfully completed or have an approved transfer request, see: Applying through IS
  • The sum of the credits earned and the credits in the personal study plan for the following two semesters (i.e., the sum of credits earned in the semesters elapsed + the sum of credits enrolled for the following two semesters) is at least 60 times the number of years completed plus one

Registration vs. Enrolment of subjects

ATTENTION, the application counts REGISTERED courses, so if you apply during the course registration period (usually holiday months), you do not have registered courses yet, only REGISTERED courses, so the application will count these courses after they are registered, which AUTOMATICALLY occurs once a day during the night hours during the enrollment and enrollment change period

You can use this application to apply for enrolment even if you do not meet these conditions, the enrolment itself will be carried out by the faculty’s study department as soon as these conditions are met.


Once you are enrolled in the next year of study, which you will see in the top right corner under your name, the application will start to evaluate the conditions for the next semester that you cannot meet at the moment.

This is perfectly fine, your enrolment is already done and you will be enrolled again next year.

So, if you want to study in the next academic year, you MUST APPLY.

Should I apply if I have an approved Personal Study Plan (e.g. staggered year)?

  • Yes, approval of the Personal Study Plan alone does not replace enrolment in the next academic year

Should I submit an application if I want to interrupt my studies, the approval of the interruption will take place after the beginning of the academic year

  • You do not need to submit an application, please follow the instructions of the study department

Should I apply if I graduate after the start of the academic year

  • If you have already been given a date for the SZZ, you do not need to submit an application, just follow the instructions of the study department

The application is telling me that I have not met all the conditions for enrolment

  • It depends on which condition you don’t meet.
    • If the course is not fulfilled in the current academic year – the first condition, then if you have fulfilled the course, ask the teacher to complete the assessment, if you have not fulfilled the course, ask for cancellation of the course (if it is an elective course), or for its transfer (compulsory course) – see this outline, “Electronic applications”
    • If it is an insufficient number of credits for the following academic year – the second condition, then enrol in the following academic year for a sufficient number of credits
    • The application evaluates the conditions based on your current year, If you have an exception to the recommended study plan according to Article 16(2) of the CPR, use this application to apply for enrolment and follow the instructions of the study department.
    • Even if you know that you will not meet the conditions after completing the above steps and you want to enter the next year, APPLY and contact the Study Department.

Once you have submitted an application, it cannot be withdrawn by this application, if after submitting the application you wish to interrupt or terminate your studies, please contact the study department of the faculty.

Enrolment in the semester is independent of course enrolment. Courses are enrolled during the enrollment period and changes in enrollment according to the faculty semester schedule.
