(1) The student is obliged to strive to complete all courses enrolled in each year of study. If the law so provides, the dean shall, at the request of the student, always extend the time limit for fulfilling the study obligations.)
(2) The student has the right
a) twice during the course of study to request cancellation of the registration of an elective course,
b) twice during the course of study to request the transfer of a registered compulsory or compulsory elective course to the next year; the transfer does not renew the number of regular and remedial terms.
(3) Allowing the cancellation of enrollment or transfer of an enrolled course allows enrollment in the next year, but does not substitute for meeting the requirements for course enrollment.
The application can be submitted in the IS->Student->While studying->Office-> Submitting a new application (HF)/ Submitting a new application (DF)
- In the application form, select your study in the selection box.
- Insert the CORRECT SUBJECT CODE without the HF/DIFA prefix
- In the selection box, select the semester of the course you want to cancel
- In the justification of the request, write a short statement along the lines of “I request cancellation of the registration of course XY, for the reason…..” Please include the exact title of the course
- If you want to support your request with an attachment.
Filling in fields
- In the“Subject” field, enter only the Subject Code, e.g. DAAZX03
- In the“Justification” field, please also provide the full title of the subject
- Choose the right semester
- A course is a semester entity, if you want to drop courses in multiple semesters, submit multiple requests.
A student may successfully submit a request for cancellation of the registration of an elective course pursuant to Article 19(2)(a) of the CPR only twice per study, but this does not mean that it is not otherwise possible to cancel the registration of an elective course for serious reasons, e.g. a conflict in the timetable with a compulsory course. This is regulated by Article 30(2) of the CFR, if this is the case in your application, please state this in the justification of your application and if your justification is accepted by the faculty, your entitlement to 2 applications under Article 19(2)(a) of the CFR will not be affected.
