- Team settings can be accessed via the three dots next to the team name and under Team Management.

- “Pending Requests” contains any requests for team membership.
- “Channels” allows you to manage channels. You can also see channels that have been removed.
- “Settings” allows you to set what permissions team members and guests have, set a code that anyone can use to join the team, and other team-wide properties.
- “Analysis” contains basic statistical information about the team.
- “Applications” lists the applications available to the team and allows you to add more.
Channels
Team communication takes place in channels. One channel, called “General”, is created automatically for each team, others can be set up as needed. Channels can be
- Accessible to all team members. For example, the General channel.
- Private – only available to selected team members (does not include Planner). For example, channel Group A.

It is better to have fewer teams and more channels in a team than to have a large number of teams.
Channel components
Channels can include various components (tabs) – conversations, files, notepad, tasks, pinned sites, web applications… Pinned tools are displayed as tabs at the top of the channel workspace:

The Conversation
Conversations are automatically part of the channel and are displayed between bookmarks.
Files
Each channel has its own folder in the Office 365 group repository that is part of the team. This is automatically pinned as a bookmark.
The exception is private channels, which have created storage independent of the Office 365 group files that are available only to members of the private channel.
OneNote notepad
Each channel has its own partition in the OneNote block of the Office 365 group. This is pinned to the channel as a separate tab.
Plans
One “Plan” is automatically created for the team in Planner. This can be pinned as a bookmark to any team channel. It is also possible to create any number of other plans for a team and pin them to channels.
Note: Planner is not available in private channels.
Other tools
Many other tools can be pinned to the channels – websites, web applications, documents. Below is a sample of the attached Wikipedia page about Masaryk University:
