Meetings in MS Teams can be recorded in IS and displayed to students in their calendar.
In IS you can record meetings in any online learning tool – Teams, Zoom, Skype…
You just need to know the time of the meeting and ideally have a direct link to the meeting in the external program.
You enter the record of the meeting in IS:
In the Teacher’s Notebook
Remember to have the correct period and faculty selected in the top right corner
Select the subject to which the appointment relates and click on “Online Learning” as shown in the picture:
Here you can see an overview of already created meetings and the option to add a new meeting, so click on “Create meeting”
In the form, fill in the name, date and time from, to. The date fields allow you to click to select the exact date and time.
If you have a link to the meeting, put it in the “External URL” field – I will provide the procedure for getting the link in MS Teams at the end of this tutorial
If you don’t have a link, leave the “External URL” field blank and leave all the information in the title only, e.g. “Hour XY in MS teams”
It is done, the record of the meeting is created in the IS and it is displayed to the students in the course and in their calendar.
Student’s view of the appointment register:
In the student signpost
Remember to have the correct period and study selected in the top right corner
In the “Student/My Courses” section, expand the course information and click on “Online Learning”
Or click on “Scheduled Online Classes” in the “Classes” section to see all your course records.
In both cases you will see a listing of scheduled meetings and if a meeting link is entered for the meeting, click to open the meeting link that the educator entered
You can also see the meetings in the “Calendar”
in the “My Calendar” section and again, if a meeting link is entered for the meeting, click to open the meeting link that the educator entered
