The so-called “Citizen Identity” can be used in some IS agendas, especially in the Office and for the initial identification of the student during distance enrolment.
- When enrolling remotely for identity verification
- In the Office, again to verify identity and to electronically sign documents if a higher confidence in the electronic signature is required than that provided by the guaranteed electronic signature using the JAMU seal and identification of the person by the Information System.
IS will always prompt you to verify your identity via Citizen Identity and redirect you to the portal with a selection of verification options in the Citizen Identity portal.
Citizen Identity will offer you the following authentication options:
- Mobile eGovernment Key
- eCitizen
- NIA ID
- IIG
- I.CA Identity
- MyID
Despite the fact that Public Universities act as a public authority in many ways, especially in relation to their students, we do not have a fee-free access to use Citizen Identity verification through Bank Identity, therefore we encourage everyone to activate the “eGovernment Mobile Key” in the Citizen Identity portal. It will allow you to identify yourself through an app on your mobile phone.
The procedure for activating the “Mobile eGovernment Key” is described step by step in this manual:
