The student is either assigned a topic by the head of his/her studio/department or chooses his/her own topic from those offered by the studio/department.
The agreement is not meant to be the assignment of the LOA, but only an agreement within the studio/department which is then implemented by assigning the LOA to the student, and in the case of graduate performance according to Article 62 of the CPR by the head of the sponsoring department (i.e. the studio/department) and in the case of qualifying work according to Article 63 of the CPR by the dean.
