How to create an answer sheet

How to create an answer sheet

Enter the “Teacher” signpost and select the desired subject

https://is.jamu.cz/auth/ucitel

in the list of applications, select “Manage answer sheet”

This will take you to the creation of an answer sheet.

There are 2 links to very detailed help:

A description of what the answer sheets are, how they work for students, where the answers are, etc…

How to set up the answering machine

Click on “create a new answer sheet description” to go to the next step

Select the purpose for which you are creating the answer sheet.

These settings are not set in stone, everything can be set in the form itself as you wish, this selection just presets some values.

Select an option and click “Select”

  • Insert the name of this answer sheet
  • Always choose “new look” – has tablet and mobile support for students
  • Provide some description – what students are to do, what tools are allowed, etc…
  • and finally, we use the question sets we’ve created.
  • They can be stored anywhere in the IS, but since we are talking about subject answerers, there is no need to search for anything complicated and we will use the sdy stored in the subject. So click on “Select from all sets”

Check here which question sets to use and click on “Select checked”

For selected sets, you can specify how many questions to use from that set and in what order the sets should be loaded.

for example, I have 3 sets:

Prehistory

Antiquity

New Age

each set contains 25 questions, but I want a test with 15 questions in total, 3 from prehistory, 4 from antiquity and 8 from modern times

I’ll use :

Prehistory 3 questions 1 order

Antiquity 4 questions 2 order

Modern Age 8 questions 3 questions in order

As already mentioned in the question set procedure, it is a good idea to have only “auto-evaluable” or “non-automatically evaluable” questions in one answer sheet; if you have this combination of question sets, it is better to create two answer sheets. This is a recommendation, not a rule, but if you follow the recommendation, you will be able to have IS completely auto-evaluate one answer sheet, and then completely evaluate the other one “manually”, and you won’t have to search through a long list of questions to find only the ones you need, and most importantly, the student will immediately know at least part of the test result.

The form page is long, I will list the screens in sequence.

Here you set:

  • order of insertion of questions from the sets
  • the order of answers for each question – they can remain as defined in the sets or they can have a completely random order

by combining these two options you can ensure that no 2 students will have the same test (if you use automatic answer evaluation, it doesn’t matter for you, you don’t have to track anything)

Default scoring – this will override the scoring settings for questions in sets – CAUTION – in some sets you may have special scoring for questions, this setting will override it, or you may choose no scoring. This only makes sense if the question sets you are using contain “auto-scorable” questions and you want to score the answer sheet (e.g. it is a Sharp test).

If you have set up scoring, you can create a notebook where students will learn the results, here you set how, when and which results are “poured” into the notebook

The receiver is only used for scanned tests, so you are not interested in this setting now

IMPORTANT – display answers to students:

here you set if, and then when, to show students the correct answers to the questions

Here you set how many times the student can use the test, and under what conditions

how many questions should be paginated (makes sense for 25+ questions)

A rather aesthetic addition is the color of the bar around the test and opening across the screen, leave the preset values.

Here you set the degree of correspondence for texts entered by the student, e.g. whether Autumn is the same as Autumn or River is the same as River etc..

IMPORTANT – how many minutes the answer sheet is allowed to be open, if you set e.g. 30 minutes, a timer will appear to the student when it is started and the answer sheet will be saved and closed at that time.

Which computers can be used – don’t type anything

Monitor other student activities in the IS – the student is alerted to this when the answer key is launched, it tracks what IS applications the student has accessed (study materials, searches, etc…)

Finally, you need to add rights and times when you can work with the responder.

Times – you can set intervals from-to, if you do not enter anything, the time is unlimited.

Rights – click on “Create another right”

If you want anyone to be able to work with the responder, enter “Anyone logged in IS” – probably not much use

“Students of the course in the term” – this is your most common choice, select it and click on “Add right”

The current subject is pre-populated, just check with a glance and click on “Add advanced right”

The right is in place, you can follow the same procedure to add others (students of another subject… but it is not expected)

When you are done, click on

“Save and access” – students will be able (if date and time settings from 3 steps back allow it, or if this restriction is not set) to start answering immediately

“Save and not make available to students yet” – everything will be saved, but the answer sheet will be hidden from students for the time being, you can use “Save and make available” at any later time.

If you see this green bar on the screen you are almost done.

Click on “Check from student view”

A list of students who are allowed to work with the answerer (if it is accessible to them from the previous step) is displayed

If it is the list of students in your course, everything is OK, otherwise return to the previous window, click on “Manage answer sheet” and make the appropriate rights correction.

Click on any name to see the student’s answer sheet preview with a description of the settings you have entered.

Where can I find the students’ answers?

Access from Teacher’s Notebook

Selecting the answers to the answer sheet

Selection of displayed records and possible export

With a small number of students it is easiest to browse the answers individually, with a larger number it is possible to export to a file.

When viewing the answers, you can enter the results directly into the notepad:

If the answer sheet is evaluated automatically, beware of manually overwriting the evaluation.

Described in detail in:

Where can I find student answers

Notepads

You can answer each questionnaire you create yourself

You will just have to click “Show all records” in the top left when selecting the records to display (ODP_3)- you are not a student of your own course

Here is the student’s view of how he gets to the answer sheet and what he sees

Select the subject and click on “Answering machines”

Click on the correct answer key in the list of answer keys offered for the subject

Read the terms and conditions and start the answering machine

A whole long snake of questions

Detail of header with timer

After submitting, the student answered according to the limits, was automatically evaluated for compliance

In the subject notebook

Then he also sees the result

Same with the Teacher.
